Union Miracle Bowl 2021 Raises Over $38,000 Benefitting Children

The Children’s Miracle Network Champion, Brandon Kellogg, pictured alongside fellow KU Medical Center children who have all benefitted from the annual Union Miracle Bowl fundraising event.

 

There was excitement in the lanes at the 5th Annual CMN Union Miracle Bowl and it wasn’t just the sounds of strikes and spares. It was the celebration of raisingfor KU Medical Center! Over 100 Labor Union members representing numerous Locals in the community made this amazing total possible through sponsorships, individual fundraising, and contributions. The event was sponsored by Pipe Fitters Local #533, Roofers Local #20 and Awards & T-Shirt Specialists, Inc. Children’s Miracle Network was proud to recognize Roofers Local #20 as the Top Fundraising Team raising over $13,000. CMN’s Top Fundraising Individual was Paul Post of Roofers Local #20 who raised an impressive $7,200. Each year, the Union Miracle Bowl crowns a Tournament Champion, and it was a fight until the final frame. Congratulations to Sheet Metal Local #2 for their 1st place win and Plumbers Local #8 for their 2nd place finish. Sarpino’s Overland Park and Westport provided lunch. Special thanks to Pipe Fitters Local 533, Blue Cross Blue Shield of KC, Greater KC Building and Trades, Westlake Ace Hardware Lee’s Summit, OPCMIA #518 and countless other donors who made the raffle a great success! Amy Lueders, CMN Development Manager said, “The commitment and generosity of Local Labor Unions continues to grow each year and for that we are truly grateful!”
