This is an excellent leadership training for union women. There are scholarships available, especially if women apply early. I hope union members ask their union to pay first as scholarship money is limited. Please share with your members. I am teaching at this school and can offer anyone a ride to and back from the UAW Education Center in Ottawa, Illinois where the Polk School 2025 will be held April 30-May 4, 2025.
The skills we teach at the school will help activate members and strengthen the union. Given the attacks that are coming, we will need to build our union voice and muscle!

ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The Regina V. Polk Women’s Labor Leadership Conference is a multi-day participatory conference run by the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign’s Labor Education Program for working women that creates an open & invigorating space for rank and file women union activists & community leaders to learn from skilled instructors and one another. Learn about the nuts and bolts oef contract enforcement while also developing your skills as a leader. This is perfect for women who are just beginning their training as well as those with more experience so we can learn from one another.
