LMC Endorses Missouri Amendment 6

Date:

The Labor-Management Council of Greater Kansas City Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Missouri Amendment 6 on the Nov. 3 ballot.

“Missouri Amendment 6 solidifies the initiative petition rights of Missouri voters, while allowing an appropriately high threshold for consensus corrections to be made by the legislature” noted Bob Jacobi, LMC executive director.  “The Board believes that the state’s historically strong initiative petition option encourages participation in our government and that Amendment 6 protects that process” he added.

The LMC is a nonprofit association of more than 70 companies, unions, governments and nonprofits with the mission of enhancing collaboration by solidifying trust and communication between labor and management in the community. Since its founding in 1979, the LMC has taken positions on public issues (though not candidates or parties) where labor and management agree, and encourages participation in government at all levels by our member organizations.
