IBEW Local 124 Business Manager Bo Moreno, Iron Workers Local 10 Business Manager Dave Coleman, IBEW LU 226 Business Manager Robert Bausch, (not pictured) and IBEW LU 1141 President Jennifer Duncan (not pictured) along with area legislators were invited to the White House for a Communities in Action briefing on February 22nd for Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. The primary focus of the briefing was to educate and shine a light on all the actions the Biden Harris administration has accomplished for the working-class in this country. From the Inflation Reduction Act that has brought $6.6 billion to Missouri and $10.6 billion to Kansas or the Chips/Science Act helping revitalize manufacturing of semiconductors made in the United States, this country is experiencing a period of growth unseen since the Industrial Revolution. Never before in our lifetime have we seen a President that not only wasn’t afraid to say UNION, but mentions it in every State of the Union or national policy speech. During this briefing, Business Managers Moreno and Coleman were able to thank President Biden and his administration for all they have done for the working men and women of this country.

Tristin grew up as the son of a UA Local 669 member in Tecumseh, KS and the great-nephew of George C. Amis, longtime leader of the United Rubberworkers (now USW Local 307) in Kansas. Growing up in rural Kansas as the child of teen parents, Tristin quickly came to appreciate the life-changing benefit of a union job.
Tristin and his partner, Rebeca Amezcua-Hogan, are residents of the Westside, Kansas City, MO's historic Mexican neighborhood. They are proud members of Kansas City's New Reform Temple.
