Unions Offer Support to Area Communities

On July 18th, a record setting hot summer day, free drive-thru COVID-19 testing and food distribution was hosted by the Community Builders of Kansas City (CBKC) in partnership with Harvesters, Office of Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, Catholic Charities of Kansas City, and local unions. Union volunteers also helped distribute food, prepared by Harvesters, to nearly 1,500 families.
